Going Steady

While driving, I had an intrusive thought that inspired me to explore this quick concept. The animation style of the images on the drumheads was designed to match the distortion of the bass guitar in the song. To achieve this effect, I quickly drew the frames in a fast and sketchy manner using a pane of glass and a dry erase marker in just a couple of hours. Additionally, I improvised a blue screen material by taping grocery bags to the drumheads, which made it easy to key them out in post-production.

The goal was never to create anything refined, but rather to explore a concept fast and dirty to see what I could do.
